Masala Baked Beans

    1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a large saucepan and fry the onion and garlic until soft.

    2. Add the garam masala, cumin, coriander, salt and cannellini beans. Coat the beans and mix thoroughly for 2-3 mins. You may wish to add a little more oil here if the mixture becomes dry.

    3. Add in the tomatoes, chilli flakes and Auntie's Tamarind Sauce, cook for 5 mins on a medium flame or until the sauce has thickened to how you like it.

    4. Serve piping hot over buttered toast or with a couple of poached eggs.
